VUMILIA RIDERS - Riders for Health

In June 2007, Vumilia received 6 motorcycles from an organization called Riders for Health, funded in part by Virgin Atlantic. These bikes provide a way to provide mobile medical services in the rural community for those who cannot afford transport. 7 people have been trained by Riders for Health (5 women) on motorcycle riding and maintenance. They now feel empowered, and are going into the community providing health care services and educating people.
