HIV POSITIVE COUPLE MARRIES

Widower Sylivanos Makokha & Rose Lukania got married in a colorful cultural wedding. The couple is a support to others and they are educating others in the village on information of HIV/AIDS. “We are happy and healthy. Life is just as normal with HIV/AIDS if you practice “zero grazing” with one woman or man, gain knowledge about HIV/AIDS and join support groups like Vumilia.”

TRAINING ON SOLAR COOKER

Kathy Tate-Bradish trained 15 men and women from Vumilia on how to make a solar funnel cooker to cook foods without needing fuel.  A woman living with HIV/AIDS: “In the past it has been so hard to go and look for firewood in the forest around when I’m feeling unwell, collecting woods in the forest. I feel so happy to have known to make the solar cooker when I’m sick I can just put food in the cooker and forget about it for few hours until it becomes ready.”
